moani ito was born in 1944 and listened to music like "Hawaii Calls" broadcast over the Far East Network (FEN). During that era, Hawaiian, country, and jazz music brought a fresh breath of a new age.

Since then, 60 years have passed. While his musical journey has been shared with the ‘ukulele and the electric steel guitar, he currently entrusts his deepest artistic expressions to the "Dobro steel guitar," drawn to the beautifully sorrowful melodies generated by its metallic resonator.

Having reached the milestone age of 80 and carrying a heart filled with profound gratitude for Hawaiian music, he has come to this long-awaited, dreamed-of stage today alongside his true partner, the Dobro. He will pour the entirety of his life's journey into every note, letting his heart truly resonate.
